LipNIR: Improving the Diagnostic Pathway for Lipedema
Noah Deniaud, Thomas Kedra, and Evan Chow, co-founders of KCD Medical and bioengineering students at McGill University, submitted an unmet need focused on improving the diagnostic pathway for individuals with lipedema and were recognized with an MDDC Discovery Sprint Award ($2,000).
KCD Medical aims to improve the diagnostic pathway for individuals with lipedema through a novel non-invasive approach. The team strives to improve the lives of people who are misdiagnosed or remain undiagnosed and believes that improved diagnostic capability will ultimately lead to improved patient outcomes.
